We have a heard of elk who like to jump our fence on a regular basis. And usually in the same spots. Dad is always telling us about the caps on the fence posts that they routinely knockoff.
It is obvious where they routinely jump the fence because their muddy bellies leave the rails splattered with dirt. Dad has had to repair the fence several times. And the fence is not even complete yet.
Anyway, yesterday he repaired a broken rail. The elk must have eaten a few too many holiday goodies, because they didn't quite clear the fence. Here are the pictures that Dad took of the rail he repaired.
Cursed elk.
The elk are beautiful to look at, but must admit that they do keep me busy with their destructive ways. Can't wait to start building more fence this spring for them to test their jumping abilities on..Whew! what a glutton for punishment Iam.
