Dad would be abhorred with what is happening in our country now.  So would Merle Haggard.

I know that Dad is rolling over in his grave over the Liberals relentless efforts to destroy our beautiful country that he sacrificed so much to fight for and defend.  Dad made it clear how he felt about the black lives matter arm of the Democrat party inciting racism and violence.  It's even worse now!  Dad also made it clear how he felt about traitor Kaepernick and his disgusting spit in the face kneeling during the national anthem at NFL football games. As big of a football fan that Dad was his whole life, he would not tolerate such despicable disrespect and contempt for him as a war veteran and for his country.  He immediately quit watching NFL football.

Dad got out of here just in time before these disgusting liberal Democrat Communists politicized the coronavirus pandemic to try to remove Trump from office.  That didn't work so now they've moved on to the tired old standby of trying to increase racism through their black lives matter organization.

The Liberal Democrat Communists easily brainwash people through their media arm.  Television news isn't news it's political propaganda for the Liberal Democrat Communists.

Anyway, my point is that Dad would be disgusted at how easily the Liberal Democrat Communists are destroying our nation and brainwashing the weak into believing their lies.

At one of the Merle Haggard concerts Dad attended, he purchased a T-shirt that he often wore.  On the front it said "Fightin' Side" with a picture of Merle Haggard.  On the back, if I remember correctly, it had a US flag with the words "If You Don't Love It, Leave It".

Dad was always a true patriot.  He loved this country.  It saddened him to see it being destroyed by the left and their brainwashed minions.

What good do the masks do, really?

We are seeing jurisdictions everywhere imposing mask bans at a rate that approaches the number of bars being threatened with liquor license revocation for failing to enforce social distancing.  If that sentence seems complicated, then you are beginning to appreciate just how confusing all the arguments are about face coverings.  After all, we have N95s, surgical masks, homemade cloth masks (enjoy the video), and the classic train robber bandana.  Just for good measure, as I wore my cup-style dust mask on my last pass through Costco, I saw staff members wearing required face coverings that came from lathe section at Woodcraft.

It should be intuitively obvious to the most casual observer that these masks are not all identical in their intended use and possible function against viruses.  The bandana and face shield represent the extreme of one side of the spectrum.  The shield blocks large objects (relative to viruses) traveling from striking the user's eyes at high speeds.  The bandana blocks the good guys from seeing who the bad guy is.  In both cases, breathing around them is very easy, and aerosols aren't blocked.  They may be effective against a sneeze, but ordinary breathing or talking defeats them easily.  The cup-style dust mask falls roughly into that same category.  Let's look at the better masks.

I wore surgical masks daily for 36 years as an anesthesiologist.  Their purpose was to reduce the chance that I would infect an open wound with bacteria from my mouth.  This article of faith has been shown to be false.  If staff who are working outside of the immediate sterile field do not wear masks, there is no increase in wound infections.  And this is in a closed environment where staff will be present for hours.  This casts a very large cloud of doubt on the utility of masks for COVID-19.

Another problem arises when we look at the use of masks by the public.  Even accepting the uncertain premise that masks are useful, "incorrect use and disposal may actually increase the risk of pathogen transmission, rather than reduce it, especially when masks are used by non-professionals such as the lay public."  Given that most "masks" are simply kept handy for use when required, set aside, and then re-used, most mask-wearing by the public is likely to increase virus exposure, not reduce it.

But do properly used surgical masks reduce disease spread in the general public?  To say there are almost no data would not be overstating the case.  When households with sick kids were examined, even rigorous mask-wearing provided no statistically significant improvement in adult infections.

Let's put that in plain English.  Even if you did everything to protect yourself with surgical masks, even keeping it on when your kid wants to see your face, it might reduce your chance of getting sick, but we can't prove it.  And that's in a well designed study intended to get a meaningful result.  "[H]ousehold use of face masks is associated with low adherence and is ineffective for controlling seasonal respiratory disease" (emphasis added).

What about homemade cloth masks?  In a study using influenza, masks made from cotton T-shirts "should only be considered as a last resort to prevent droplet transmission from infected individuals."  They were only one third as effective when worn by the sick person as a surgical mask.  If you're sick, they're better than nothing, but that's not much.  The CDC says, "Cloth face coverings may slow the spread of the virus and help people who may have the virus and do not know it from transmitting it to others."  Translation: It might help, but we don't have any data to back that up.

As we can see from other studies, even surgical masks have minimal benefit in preventing you from getting sick.  This was confirmed in a hospital study.  Cloth masks had a "relative risk" of flu infection thirteen times greater than medical masks.  "Moisture retention, reuse of cloth masks and poor filtration may result in increased risk of infection."

What about the fabled N95 respirator masks?  "Respirators work as PPE only when they are the right size and have been fit-tested to demonstrate they achieve an adequate protection factor."  Translation: If you haven't gone through the fit-testing I've been through (the first model didn't fit!), N95s won't reduce your exposure to the virus.  Sorry.

I think it's pretty easy to see that a mask is not a mask is not a mask.  There are wide variations, and some face coverings are utterly ineffective at preventing the spread of infection.  Others may provide a small degree of protection to other people if you are infected.  Surgical masks are reasonably effective, but carrying a folded cloth to cough into is just as effective.  And you'll probably put it in the laundry more frequently than your mask.

To protect yourself, you need an N95 respirator mask that is properly fitted.  Then you need to re-sterilize it every four hours using UV light or properly dispose of it and start over with a new one.  That is too expensive for most people.

The outside world is the safest place you can be.  The state of Florida has zero cases of COVID-19 that can be traced to outside transmission.  During the day, solar UV kills all viruses very quickly, and there's always enough air movement to disperse aerosols, making them non-infective.  It has become clear that virtually all cases have been spread in closed spaces with prolonged (>10 minute) exposure.  And as the studies I've cited show, other than N95s, masks are no help there.  For that matter, six-foot spacing doesn't help, either, since the aerosols that transmit the virus aren't adequately dispersed.

Caregivers in a high-intensity environment should have all the fitted N95s they need.  Beyond that, it's time to recognize that the only person who should be wearing a mask is the Lone Ranger.

Conclusion of the article is that the only person who should be wearing a mask is the Lone Ranger. :-)  According to this anesthesiologist and his research, masks are even less effective than I thought. And, like I've been saying before, they may make the spread of infection worse when they are not properly used.

Idiot Inslee needs to read this article. Along with all the other blue governors and virtue signalers ordering mandatory mask wearing and giving evil eyes to people while labeling non-mask wearers as selfish. Get off your high horse and get your facts straight before you go around lying to everyone.

Masks and Microbiology

Idiot Inslee, Governor of Washington, is now demanding that everybody wear masks in public indoor areas, and outdoors where less than 6 foot distance is maintained.  I don't know how legal this is.  One man should not be able to dictate "laws" that everyone in the state must follow.  That's what we have state legislatures for.  Blue governors across the country have seized upon the willingness of Americans to comply with these tyrannical orders.  But, Americans are becoming wise to their schemes.  The truth is coming out about the pandemic and its not what it was made out to be. But nonetheless, these tyrannical blue governors have tasted the power of communism and they like it.  So they are exploiting their powers.  I personally don't think it's constitutional to force healthy nonsymptomatic people to wear masks.  It's ridiculous.  A blue power trip.

Now, I have no problem with people wearing masks.  In fact, I am grateful when my caregivers wear masks when they are symptomatic -- coughing and sneezing, runny nose.  I have always kept my closet stocked with masks for this purpose.  And I have no problem with people wearing masks of their own accord.  If they feel it's protecting them or others and they choose to wear a mask, then good for them.  And I do feel it's proper etiquette and courteous to wear a mask in public places if you are symptomatic-- coughing, sneezing, runny nose.  But I have a real problem with idiotic governors mandating/ordering EVERYONE to wear masks!  That is tyranny.  That is dictatorship.  That is communism.  And completely unnecessary.

First of all, wearing masks outdoors is ridiculous.  You're not going to catch a virus in fresh air.  The only exception I see to this is perhaps outdoor dining with someone who is symptomatic and coughing or sneezing on your face and food.  Asymptomatic people should never wear masks outside. It's useless.  Completely unnecessary.  It's actually comical to see people wearing masks outside. Especially alone.

What is the purpose of wearing a mask?  Do people even know the answer to this?  Why do surgeons wear masks in the operating room?  It is to prevent contaminating the open wounds they just created.  They are in very close contact with the surgical site -- obviously -- and coughing, sneezing, or even breathing near the open wound could easily contaminate it.  But what about average people going about their business day-to-day?

All the mask does is act as a barrier to coughs and sneezes.  It's the same thing as covering your mouth when you cough or sneeze.  That's all it does.  It's to prevent the microorganism laden large and medium-sized water droplets that are spewed out of your mouth when you cough or sneeze from going very far.  So why not just cover when you cough or sneeze?  Exactly!  That's my point.  But apparently many people don't.  It's just common courtesy if you ask me.

Dad used to pull his shirt collar above his nose to sneeze.  That works.  So does coughing or sneezing into your sleeve or elbow.  That's actually recommended now as the best way to cover a cough or sneeze because you don't contaminate your hands.  If you do cough or sneeze into your hands, immediately wash them with soap and water or use hand sanitizer.

The contaminated water droplets from your cough or sneeze can travel up to 200 feet according to a new MIT study.  We used to think they traveled about 60 feet or even just 15 feet.  But any of those scenarios would contaminate an entire room generally.  What do I mean by contaminate?

Your mouth, nose, and throat are colonized with bacteria.  Most of the microorganisms you cough or sneeze out are not pathogenic.  Meaning they won't cause disease.  But some are or could be.  This is in normal asymptomatic people.  If you're symptomatic, then of course you are spreading pathogens when you cough or sneeze.

But, even asymptomatic people can spread pathogens if they are pre-symptomatic, yet infected.  Or if they are carriers and are not affected by the pathogen.  Let me give you an example.  I am highly susceptible to strep throat.  I've had the dreaded illness numerous times throughout my life.  Some people actually carry the bacteria that causes strep throat in the back of their throat without ever becoming sick.  They are carriers.  The name of the bacteria that causes strep throat is beta hemolytic streptococcus pyogenes.  If you grow this bacteria on a petri dish in blood agar, you will see a clear zone around the colony because the bacteria lyses the red blood cells in the agar.  There is also a strain called alpha hemolytic streptococcus pyogenes which is not nearly as virulent.  On blood agar the colonies create a lighter red halo but not clear.  That's how you tell the difference in the strain.  Isn't microbiology fun?  I remember this so well because of my susceptibility to this particular bacteria.  Anyway, I digress.

My point is, that if someone who carries beta hemolytic streptococcus pyogenes coughs or sneezes, I could pick up the bacteria and get sick with strep throat.  And the carrier is none the wiser that they infected someone.  Same thing with rhinoviruses (common cold), influenza, and yes, coronaviruses.  You can be infected without having symptoms or are perhaps presymptomatic.  This is precisely why everyone is wearing masks now!  But symptomatic people are much more likely to spread disease than asymptomatic people.  Precisely because they are coughing and sneezing more, and the viral load or bacterial load is higher.  Meaning you are spewing out more pathogens when you cough or sneeze.

I often hear people with allergies claim as they cough or sneeze that it's just allergies (Dad used to tell me this all the time).  As if they are incapable of spreading pathogens.  That's not true.  They may not have a virus or bacteria that's causing the coughing or sneezing but they are still spewing billions of microorganisms when they cough or sneeze.  So, anyone with symptoms should really be cautious and courteous about coughing or sneezing and always cover.  Even if they know it's just allergies.

Another thing about spreading germs that most people might not think about is when they are alone in a room.  Some people think they don't need to cover coughs or sneezes if no one else is around.  But this is also false.  Because every cough or sneeze contains billions of microorganisms.  Without covering, those microorganisms are spewed up to 200 feet landing on every surface in the room.  A lot of those microorganisms can remain viable up to several days on hard surfaces.  So, for instance let's say for easy math purposes that a particular viral half-life is 12 hours.  And also for easy math purposes let's say there are 1 billion viruses on the surface.  Let's say a doorknob.  So someone sneezes at 6:00 PM and 1 billion viruses land on the doorknob.  At 6 AM the next day there are still 500 million viable viruses on the doorknob.  By 6 PM the next day, there are 250 million viable viruses hanging out on the doorknob.  By 6 AM the next day there are still 125 million viable viruses on the doorknob.  You get the idea.  So anyone touching that doorknob over the next couple of days is going to pick up the pathogenic virus on their hand and if they touch their face, they become infected.  This is how most airborne pathogens are spread.

This is why the best way to prevent the spread of disease is by washing your hands in soap and water.  That's the number one way to prevent spreading communicable diseases.  I actually studied handwashing in microbiology.  It was quite interesting.  As I'm sure you're aware, your skin is colonized with non-pathogenic bacteria.  Those colonies actually prevent pathogenic (disease causing) bacteria from colonizing you.  But our hands are always touching things and picking up all kinds of different pathogens all the time.  So our first experiment was to just touch the agar on the petri dish with our unwashed hands to see what would grow.  Then we washed our hands for different increments of time.  5 seconds, 15 seconds, 30 seconds or something like that.  And then touched the agar on different petri dishes to see what would grow.  Interestingly, and I still remember the outcome, the unwashed hands did grow different pathogens.  But few colonies.  And the longer the handwashing, the fewer pathogens but more natural flora that grew.  So, it's true that the longer you wash your hands the better, to prevent the spread of pathogens.

In medical school, I actually participated in a study (they like to use medical students as guinea pigs) for hand sanitizer.  They had us put our hands in a solution containing Shigella, a pathogenic bacteria. For different time frames.  Then we would put the hand sanitizer on our hands to see if it was effective against killing the pathogenic bacteria. And also washed with plain soap and water.  It was actually quite an extensive experiment.  Over the course of a few weeks. The conclusion was that yes, the hand sanitizer did kill the bacteria.  But regular handwashing with soap and water was the most effective.  Interestingly, a few of my classmates ended up with Shigella skin infections -- must've had abrasions or cuts.  Thankfully I never did.

I went into all of that detail because I thought you would find it interesting.  But also to show that I have studied microbiology disease prevention.  So I know what I'm talking about.

So all that to say that handwashing is the best defense against disease.  And washing your hands longer is more effective.  This is why when you scrub into surgery you have to use a specific technique and scrub all the way up to your elbows.  I don't remember the exact time frame but it's several minutes of scrubbing when you scrub into surgery.

The second best way to prevent the spread of disease is cover your mouth when you cough or sneeze.  Seems simple enough but so many people don't do it.  That's precisely why Idiot Inslee and other governors are ordering mandatory mask wearing.  So, after explaining the microbiology of disease transmission, you may think I would side with Idiot Inslee. But you would be wrong.

Knowing the microbiology behind pathogen transmission, I think it's foolish to mandate that everybody wear face masks.  I think people are perfectly capable of governing themselves and knowing when they should stay away from people or wear face masks -- i.e. if they are symptomatic and coughing and sneezing.  People who are asymptomatic absolutely do not need to wear face masks in every day life.  If they happen to cough or sneeze, they are perfectly capable of covering their mouth.  Which is exactly what the facemask would do.  There's absolutely no reason for asymptomatic people to be constantly covering with a face mask. Yes, face masks belong in hospitals, operating rooms, medical clinics, and on people who are symptomatic.  But not on asymptomatic people just going about their business.  And we certainly don't need the government taking our freedoms away by forcing people to wear face masks.  I thought all blue governors were pro-choice?  I guess that's only when it comes to killing babies.

Honestly, even when you are infected with a pathogen, most people's immune systems are more than capable of combating the pathogen and you have no idea you were even infected. Believe it or not, you are constantly breathing in all sorts of microorganisms, some of which are pathogenic, with every breath you take.  Your immune system easily takes care of the vast majority of those pathogens.  Occasionally something like flu comes along and you get sick.  That's life.  And really, I worry about the unforeseen detrimental consequences of constant mask wearing.  Entire healthy populations have never been forced into this nonconsensual guinea pig medically experimental situation before.  I can't imagine there won't be dire consequences for some people.  It can't be good to obstruct the flow of normal air in healthy people for such a long extended time period on a daily basis.  Thereby increasing carbon dioxide intake and decreasing oxygen intake.  Not to mention the long-term exposure to the buildup of microorganisms on the mask itself.

And, really, who actually wears the mask properly?  Every doctor's office I have visited in the past three or four months, nobody wears the mask right.  All the doctors I've seen are constantly touching the mask, adjusting it, while typing and writing notes in the treatment room.  Thereby contaminating the computer keyboard, the writing instrument, the paper.  Actually making it worse because the microorganisms concentrate on the mask and when it's touched, they transfer to the hand.  Making the concentration of possible pathogens even greater on their hands.  If doctors don't know how to properly wear surgical masks, or face masks, who does?

Idiot Inslee's tyrannical face mask wearing mandate reminds me of the terrible human experiments done by the Nazis.  It's unethical.  And I believe unconstitutional.

I certainly don't think the government should be forcing everybody to wear masks.  Idiot Inslee has no problem with allowing BLM domestic terrorist protests, riots, lootings, shootings, and all kinds of anarchy and violence in the name of "social justice".  No mention of those thugs not social distancing or not wearing masks.  But heaven forbid, normal, healthy, law-abiding citizens just going about their day-to-day lives and business are caught without a face mask.  They are not only given the evil eye or verbally chastised, but now they face a misdemeanor violation including a hefty fine and jail time.

Communist Idiot Inslee applauds violent lawbreakers while penalizing law-abiding citizens.  The guy doesn't have a brain in his head.  Idiot Inslee is an evil virtue signaler power tripping on his high horse.

Idiot Inslee needs to stick to letting thugs walk all over him and quit dictating ridiculous nonsensical tyrannical orders to the citizens of Washington.

This is my first Father's Day without my dad here.  :-(

In fact it was this very day, June 21, last year that he went to the ER and that was the beginning of the end for him in mortality.

I miss him every day.

Rush Limbaugh made several excellent points yesterday.  But I'm going to focus on just one.  A caller called in and was asking Rush about the demise of our country.  Because every great civilization fails eventually.

Here's the quote:

They have not abandoned him no matter what they’re trying to make you think is the case. But your historical perspective is right. RUSH: Well, you’re right. That is the primary — but, you know, this falling from within is still external. It’s all the result of communist influence — Russia, Soviet Union, ChiCom. That wasn't the entire call.  But that's the excerpt I wanted to share.  So Rush starts off talking about how the liberals have lost their minds.  They have all gone crazy because they can't get rid of Trump.  Russian collusion didn't work.  Impeachment didn't work.  Coronavirus pandemic didn't work.  Now we're on to Black lives matter again.  And it's not going to work either.  But here we are.

These liberal Democrat Black lives matter protesters are clueless.  I've seen a few videos with intelligent black people questioning the brainless protesters.  They just sit there with blank glares on their faces like a deer in the headlights.  They can't believe that black people would be questioning them and schooling them in history and pointing out the Democrats true motives.  They are just sheep doing the bidding of the Democrat party, blindly following the lead of the liberal media intentionally creating racism and hatred.  There are actually many really smart black people who can see right through the Democrat party Black lives matter organization and recognize the damage they are doing to their race.

Just look at the Black Lives Matter organization and the recent explosion of followers due to media coverage.  What good has come of it?  Nothing.  What bad has come of it?  Plenty!  Besides all of the violence through riots, they are trying to erase history and actually dishonor black people by removing their names and images from products.

Aunt Jemima's great grandson is very upset that his grandmother's image and name are being removed from the pancake syrup.  Nancy Green who portrayed aunt Jemima was a real person, a freed slave, who was made wealthy by the opportunity to portray aunt Jemima on pancake mix and syrup.  The aunt Jemima name and likeness have been on syrup and pancake mix for 130 years.  Why take that honor from her and her family?  It's disgraceful.  And yes, it's racist.  Another example of calling evil good and good evil.

There are many more examples of this virtue signaling running rampant.  Removing the likeness of black people from products such as aunt Jemima, uncle Ben, cream of wheat cereal, etc. is dishonoring the black race and their heritage.  They are also doing it to Native Americans.  Land O Lakes butter, Washington Redskins, etc.  Why don't these supposedly enlightened protesters realize the damage they are doing to the very people they are supposedly supporting?  It's really insane.

It all comes down to their hidden agenda -- increase racism and make things worse for black people.  Because right now under President Trump's administration, things have never been better for black people.  Black unemployment is at an all-time low.  Not as many people on welfare.  The communist democrats can't have that.  They need subservience.  The democrats need black people to depend on them.  That's how they've survived for all these years. The communist Democrats desperately need the black vote.

You may be thinking Rush Limbaugh and I are stretching it to call Democrats communists.  It's not a stretch at all.  It's a very accurate description of the Democrat party and their followers.

In 1956 Russia’s Communist leader Nikita Khrushchev said, “We will take America without firing a shot. We do not have to invade the U.S. We will destroy you from within....”

Those words from a Communist leader during the cold war, have proven prophetic. America is being destroyed from within.  The Democrat party is in bed with communism.  Remember Obama telling Vladimir Putin -- when he didn't know the mic was hot -- that after he is elected he'll be able to make deals with the communist leader?  I do.  That's when he was running against Mitt Romney in 2012.  Hillary and Biden both have ties to Russia.  And of course we know Biden is in cahoots with Communist China.  Just to name a few.

Guess what?!  All those fools joining Black lives matter protests and riots are helping the communists destroy America from within.  Black lives matter is a Communist organization as an arm of the Democrat party.  As I've mentioned many times, Black lives matter was organized to increase racism and divide the country to destroy it.  Their plan appears to be working beautifully for them.  Because there are so many foolish, brainless Americans falling for the lies of Black lives matter being about social justice and racial equality.  The Democrat party and their minions especially the media are very cunning, deception, and persuasive. And millions of people subject themselves to brainwashing every time they watch or listen to mainstream media "news".  It's really just communists/Democrat propaganda.

President Ezra Taft Benson, way back in 1961, warned of the dangers of communism.  Everything he says is frighteningly similar to what's happening in America today.  Here is an excerpt from his talk:

"Where do we stand today? All over the world the light of freedom is being diminished. Across whole continents of the earth freedom is being totally obliterated.

Never in recorded history has any movement spread its power so far and so fast as has socialistic-communism in the last three decades. The facts are not pleasant to review. Communist leaders are jubilant with their success. They are driving freedom back on almost every front.

When all of the trappings of propaganda and pretense have been pulled aside, the exposed hard-core structure of modern communism is amazingly similar to the ancient Book of Mormon record of secret societies such as the Gadiantons. In the ancient American civilization there was no word which struck greater terror to the hearts of the people than the name of the Gadiantons. It was a secret political party which operated as a murder cult. This is exactly what's happening today.  Except they don't call it communism.  They disguise it as Democrat party.  Black lives matter.  Occupy Wall Street. Capitol Hill autonomous zone or Capitol Hill occupied protest.  Or any myriad branches they come up with.  But whatever it's called, it's still the same thing -- communism.

Isn't it interesting that a prophet of God warned us of the evils of communism nearly 60 years ago and it describes exactly what's happening now?  The Book of Mormon exactly parallels American politics and society today.   Just replace Gadiantons with Democrats and it will be spot on describing what's happening today.  The similarity is actually quite eerie.

I think we're still at a point where the majority chooses good over evil.  Barely.  I mean, Trump's still in office. Despite the Gadianton's/Democrats best efforts to remove him. But, I fear, we are alarmingly close to tipping the majority to those who choose evil over good.  Just look at all the henchmen doing the bidding of the Communists/Democrats via protesting, rioting, and promoting Black Lives Matter.  Many if not most of these henchmen are bright, educated men and women.

So how do they get brainwashed and fall for the Democrats lies, while others don't?  I think President Benson revealed the answer when he mentioned Communism being godless.  He called it atheistic communism and mentioned that communism is essentially a war against God.

President Benson compared communism to the war in heaven.  Lucifer's plan being basically communism.  Interestingly, I've noticed, that when people turn from God and denounce their religion by embracing atheism, inevitably they turned to liberalism, socialism, communism -- basically the Democrat party.  It's really astonishing to see but very predictable.

So, Khrushchev was right. The evil of communism is destroying America from within without ever having to fire a shot or invade this free land.  Just like the Gadiantons in the Book of Mormon infiltrating the government with small groups of dissenters.  The Democrats have done and are doing the same thing.  With the goal to destroy us from within to set up a ruthless criminal dictatorship over the whole land.  We got a taste of this tyranny during the COVID-19 pandemic lockdowns.  It's scary how fast the government took complete control of American lives.  We are not in a political or even social conflict.  No, this is a war of good versus evil.

Rolling Over

I hope the NFL doesn't play this season.  I honestly wish that the NFL would go under.  They are nothing but a bunch of racist, disrespectful thugs, many if not most of the players having criminal records.  Even the players who used to have common sense, such as Drew Brees, are now brainwashed.  Looking at history, many people wondered how Hitler could brainwash so many people so fast. Well, now we see it happening here in the United States right before our eyes.

Everybody seems to be falling for the lies spewed by the media about the black lives matter movement and their racist agenda.  Black lives matter is a Democrat run organization -- if you don't believe me, go to their website and click donate, it will take you to a Democrat party donation page.  Black lives matter is not about social justice or about racist cops.  Black lives matter is a Democrat organization whose goal is to suppress black people into reliance on the Democrat party so they can control them.  Their goal is to increase racism and cause division.

My point is, nobody bothers to know or learn the truth.  They just blindly believe the lies the media (Democrats) spews at them.  It's so frustrating and discouraging to see so many seemingly intelligent people caving to the propaganda and falling for the lies portrayed as "social justice".  It's disgusting and very sad to see.

2 Nephi 28:14

 "... they have all gone astray save it be a few, who are the humble followers of Christ; nevertheless, they are led, that in many instances they do err because they are taught by the precepts of men."

I understand that most of the people err because they are brainwashed by the left.  But nonetheless, they still believe the lies and do the bidding of the Democrat party led black lives matter organization.  It's disgraceful.

Rush Limbaugh made a good point yesterday.  Because the media (left, liberals, Democrats) are now trying to convince people that kneeling during the national anthem is not about the flag.  And they are succeeding.  People are buying it hook line and sinker.

Here's what Rush said:

"I’m hearing NFL players and commentators say that kneeling isn’t about the flag, and they’re admonishing us in very, very, very strong terms. “Don’t make the mistake! You don’t understand what’s going on.

“If you think kneeling, if you think kneeling is about the flag, you are wrong. You don’t even know what this is about.” Okay. Well, if that’s the case, then why are you kneeling? If it’s not about the flag, then why are you kneeling during the anthem when the flag is flying? Why not kneel when the ref blows a call against a black player?

Why not kneel at some other strategic point, stop the game, shut it down? Really. Why kneel during the anthem and during the honoring of the flag if it’s not about that? I know. I’m stirring it up here. But this is a logical question that I have about this. They’re all out there saying, “It ain’t about the flag — and if you think it’s about the flag, you just don’t get it.

Kneeling during the anthem, that’s taking a knee on far more than a police issue. Everybody knows it. Symbols mean things. How many people associate a police department with a flag? I never did. Rush is exactly right.  If it's not about the flag, why kneel during the anthem?  The flag does not represent the police department.  Nor does it represent racism.  It represents freedom and liberty and all of the people who have fought for and died defending those freedoms and liberties.

So, yes, kneeling during the national anthem is spitting upon the grave of my father, grandfathers, other ancestors and fellow Americans who have sacrificed to defend this country and our freedoms.

When that traitor, Colin Kaepernick, started disrespecting him and our country by kneeling during the national anthem, my dad renounced the National Football League and didn't watch any more games.  I guarantee you he is rolling over in his grave at what is happening now.

Don't fall for the lies that the media spews.  Kneeling during the national anthem is not just disrespectful, it is downright treasonous.

The Coronavirus Mask Charade Continues

When he announced on May 1 that masks would be  worn in public places, Massachusetts governor Charlie Baker was emphatic.

"We view this as common sense.  This is going to be basically a way of life.  No ifs, no ands, no buts, no doubts."

However,  doubts are showing up.

First, Baker's order said to wear face coverings when in public places and unable to keep a social distance of six feet.  Why'd he pick six feet?  There is no research showing that six feet means anything in a public space.

That six-foot idea is an arbitrary guess that was "conjured up out of nowhere," according to Professor Robert Dingwall, a top scientific adviser to the British government, which like the U.S. has adopted six feet as a safe social distance.  The authorities guessed that it might be a good distance because some study had shown that a cough could travel six feet in a tightly closed dead-air space.  The relevance of that to everyday life — who knows?

Anyone claiming the six-foot rule is not arbitrary should explain why the World Health Organization suggests a three-foot distance and why Austria, Norway, Sweden, and Finland have adopted that rule, and why Germany and other countries use a 4.5-foot rule.  Does the coronavirus behave differently in Europe?

Second, the order never defined public places.  Did it mean indoors or outdoors?  No one knew, and Baker probably didn't know himself.  It seemed as if he was talking about indoor spaces with other people nearby.  However, upon hearing Baker's poorly defined order, anxious people extended it and ran with it.  Suddenly, we saw multitudes wearing masks and bandannas everywhere, even when it didn't make sense because no one was around.  They jogged and rode bikes with them on, walked in the parks with them, wore them in their cars.  When crossing a street alone, carrying groceries home, or even climbing mountains, they burdened themselves with all kinds of masks.

The disease isn't contagious in the open air, but the mask-wearing anxiety sure is.

Your grandmother would guess that the breezy air must be pretty safe, and she'd be right, according to Dr. Christopher Gill, associate professor at B.U.'s School of Public Health.  "In most situations, infection in the out of doors is very unlikely.  CV19 is transmitting through close contact, largely indoors."

"There is certainly no cloud of virus-laden droplets hanging around [outdoors]," said Lidia Morawska, director of Australia's International Laboratory for Air Quality and Health.  Infectious droplets would be quickly diluted in outdoor air, she said.  "It is safe to go for a walk outdoors and jog and not to worry about the virus in the air."

But the outdoor mask-wearing has hardened into a freakish compulsion, based on nothing, expressing only anxiety and terror.

Not knowing about this disease, people anxiously want to do something.  Eight weeks ago, it was buying mountains of toilet paper, and today it's needless masks.  There's social pressure — the unanimity is worrisome.  And Governor Charlie Baker is looking at you.  And there are busybodies who will be masked when they light into you.  Yikes.

Plus, people are ignorant of basic science.  They don't understand what a gas is, how active it is, how the atmosphere works, any of it.  They don't know that a cubic foot of air, about the volume of a small microwave oven, contains billions and billions and billions of molecules swirling continuously.  They know that breezes blow pollen and dust around all the time, but they also think the much tinier virus particles can hang in the air maliciously, waiting to infect them.  Outdoor mask-wearing is pointless — not needed and just superstition — because the outdoor air moves and is effectively sterile.  You might as well wear an amulet to ward off witches. 

Mask-wearing is not benign, either.  (1) Masked faces feel hostile because you can see no relaxation or smile in the person you're facing.  (2) People feel disconnected, and a national survey shows that depression and suicidal thoughts are way up.  (3) Public misbehavior is amplified when actors are anonymous — riots, anyone?

People make mistakes, but rigidly sticking with a mistake is inexcusable.  Governor Baker and others like him need to say, at a press conference soon:  We have looked at the distancing data more closely, and have concluded we'll go with the European standard of three feet distance, which will help our people and our restaurants.  No masks need be worn in the open air.

Yes, we all want to protect the old people in nursing homes, but the fragile old people are relying on us healthy folks to be rational, not hysterical.  When you wear a mask in the grocery store milk aisle, how does that charade help the fragile folks confined to nursing homes?  It does nothing for them, and its stupidity insults the seriousness of their situation.

Speaking of grocery stores, I miss talking with the checkout girls and ladies in my local store, the ones who wear maroon smocks.  I know them and want to see their faces, whether relaxed or tired at the end of a shift.  I really miss their faces and smiles, and I see no evidence that anyone is healthier because we are hidden from each other.  In truth, we are lonely for each other.  This mad masked isolation helps no one.

My favorite line from the article, "people are ignorant of basic science."  That's an understatement.

With my medical training and knowledge of microbiology and infectious diseases, it is common sense that wearing masks outside is useless, unnecessary and comical. But apparently, I'm one of the few people left in this world with any common sense.

The arbitrary 6 foot social distancing rule has never been scientifically proven to be effective in preventing infectious disease.  It is common sense that the farther you are away from somebody, the less likely you are to be infected by them.  But 6 feet?  Somebody just made that number up.  Common sense says if you don't want to get sick, stay home and stay away from people. Duh!

As the article states, "this disease is not contagious in open air" and "Outdoor mask wearing is pointless -- not needed and superstitious".

Another good point that the article makes is that wearing masks create disconnect between people.  Masked faces feel hostile because you can't see expressions.  And most importantly, a lot of people are hard of hearing and use lip reading to understand what people are saying.  This is impossible with mask wearing.  So a lot of deaf or hard of hearing people are even more disconnected with the world because they cannot properly communicate with others.

Masks belong in the OR, medical clinics, hospitals, and on symptomatic people who are coughing and sneezing.  Masks do not belong on average healthy people just going about their daily business.

It's just plain common sense.

Never Meaning No Harm

I'm at a loss for words at the ridiculousness that is going on in our country right now.  There's anarchy going on in Seattle where part of the city has been commandeered by domestic terrorist thugs.  And our coward Governor, Idiot Inslee, claims he has no clue as to what's going on.  Idiot Inslee is nothing but a spineless, yellow bellied, wimpy, treasonous coward bowing to criminals.  He feigns ignorance while allowing the citizens of the state of Washington -- whom he is supposed to represent and protect -- being threatened and attacked by domestic terrorist black lives matter thugs.  And the mayor of Seattle -- Jenny Durkan -- it's just as stupid, if not worse, than Idiot Inslee.  It's embarrassing and shameful to have such evil people running the state of Washington and city of Seattle.  Their two IQs put together don't equal that of a rock.

I'm so sick of everybody -- politicians, athletes, businesses, celebrities (well that's a given), and everyday run-of-the-mill people -- bowing to the domestic terrorist organization, black lives matter and their racist agenda.  It's outrageous.  Seriously, does anybody have a brain anymore to think for themselves?  Everybody is just sheep blindly following the crowd. Led by the media pushing the left liberal Democrat agenda. It's amazing to me how fast people are brainwashed by propaganda.

NASCAR is banning the Confederate flag.  Historical statues are being taken down. Even the Dukes of Hazzard is being banned from sale by Amazon.  How ridiculous is that?  It's insane.  The Dukes' are just good old boys never meaning no harm.  Who, ironically, are fighting corruption in the county government and law enforcement.  The Dukes of Hazzard actually teaches people to do the right thing.  Yet, they are demonized by the left, media, liberals, Democrats because they embrace Southern culture?  They are Southerners, they are proud of their heritage.  They are not racist. It's absurd to label a TV show racist just because their car is named after a Confederate general and has a Confederate flag painted on it. It is sheer lunacy.

To the vast majority of people the Confederate flag represents the South.  Southern pride and heritage.  It has nothing to do with racism. But the Democrat run black lives matter organization wants you to believe it's about racism.  Their objective is to increase racism and division to destroy our wonderful country.  If you believe otherwise, you're a fool.

Gone with the Wind is being removed from streaming services.  I've actually never seen it but I know that it is a classic movie that also happens to be based in the Civil War era southern United States.  It is an historically based Civil War drama.  Yet another example of the left, liberals, Democrats, media controlling people through censorship.

Guess what, people?!  You can't erase history.  Slavery happened.  The Civil War happened.  Lots of bad things happened in history.  Vandalizing and tearing down statues and censoring movies and TV shows does not erase history.  People should try to learn from history instead of trying to erase it.

You wouldn't know it by the media's biased coverage of the black lives matter protests, riots, domestic terrorism etc. but black people weren't the only group treated badly.  History teaches us that Native Americans were also treated badly by the United States government and citizens a couple of centuries ago.  What about them?  Do Native American lives matter?

Also, what about The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and the religious persecution they faced in this country?  Everywhere they tried to settle, they were run off-- to put it nicely.  Even the governor of Missouri at the time, Lilburn W. Boggs, issued an extermination order on October 27, 1838.  The executive order called for "Mormons" to be exterminated or driven from the state.  Members of the Church were persecuted relentlessly by not only the government but also by the citizens, no matter where they went in this country.  They were actually persecuted so badly that they were driven out West to a desolate desert, in what was then uninhabited territory.  What about their lives?  Do "Mormon" lives matter?

My point is that there are many groups of people who have been treated unfairly and badly throughout the history of this great nation.  Most of us can look at the history of our people and realize that our ancestors were done wrong.  What was done to them was atrocious and disgraceful.  But we can learn from that and move forward.  And yes, even today, it is appalling the way some people are treated.  I, for one and many members of my church still face persecution today.  And it's actually getting worse. But you won't see me nor my church protesting and doing evil things in the name of social justice.  It's just wrong.

Isn't it ironic that the left, liberals, Democrats, media who claim to be so tolerant and advocate for free speech are the ones who are censoring free speech of anyone who doesn't fit their agenda or dares to disagree with them?

The left, liberals, Democrats, media are the most hypocritical, intolerant, evil people around.  They are always angry and miserable -- even when they get what they want.  They are never satisfied.

It's a sad world we live in when Governors, mayors, and any elected officials who are supposed to serve and protect the people -- are actually the ones trying to destroy people's lives and make everybody miserable.  All in the name of control and power.  Very sad.

It is heartbreaking that the left, liberals, Democrats, media are so power-hungry that they brainwash, through propaganda, so many citizens into believing their lies and actually convince them to do their bidding for them.  Thereby increasing racism, division, violence, anger, and misery in those who follow them.  The more sheep they can control, the happier the Democrats are. 

All of these people who bow to the black lives matter movement -- includiing government officials, businesses, celebrities without backbones like Drew Brees who cares more about a paycheck than integrity, organizations like the NFL and their coaches and anyone spineless enough to fall for that Democrat propaganda -- are nothing but foolish, yellow bellied, brainwashed, cowardice sheep following blindly.

It's too bad the left, liberals, Democrats, media are not more like The Dukes Of Hazzard -- Never meaning no harm.

Reality Check

Okay people, time for a reality check. George Floyd is not a martyr.  Perhaps all of you who are claiming that he is a martyr, need to go back school and learn the definition of martyr.

George Floyd was a criminal who got murdered.  He did not die because of his beliefs.  He was not killed out of religious persecution or even for a cause he believed in.  That's what a martyr is.

No, George Floyd is certainly not a martyr.  In fact, to put him in the same category as real martyrs like Joseph Smith, William Tyndale, and Abinadi is blasphemous.

George Floyd was an average, run-of-the-mill, lowlife criminal.  He certainly did not deserve to be murdered.  Yes, his murder is a tragedy.  Every American believes that.  But I'm sick and tired of hearing that he is a martyr.  I'm tired of people putting a criminal on a pedestal, just because he was murdered.  How many decent, innocent people have died in the riots across this country in the name of justice for George Floyd?  At least 17 so far.  Where is the outcry for their justice?

I'm also sick and tired of people labeling me as racist, just because I'm white.  I should not be shamed for my heritage.  Nobody should.  I am proud of my heritage.  Everyone can be proud of their own heritage.  But singling out one race over all others -- as in black lives matter -- is, in fact, racist. And promotes racism.

There are a lot of smart, outspoken black people out there who feel the same way I do.  There are a few of us who actually have common sense and live in reality.

That's my two cents.

Why we are being besieged by emails from businesses and organizations bragging about their support for Black Lives Matter/Antifa

"...Black Lives Matter, as Tucker Carlson so aptly pointed out, is a cult, a new religion for those who virtue-signal because they crave to be seen as woke.  It’s all pathetic, a sad commentary on the lack of moral and intellectual stamina of far too many Americans. 

It is one thing to see obviously brainwashed young people fall for every lie academia and the media spew.  It is quite another for people who remember the 1960s and all the stupid riots that have occurred in the intervening years to fall for this elite-orchestrated race manipulation of the mindless indoctrinated masses.  Do the rioters who defaced the statue of Gandhi know who he was? Doubtful. 

The left/media has assiduously ignored the seventeen people who have been killed during the riots.  Countless others have been catastrophically injured.  The media do not mention the fact that eighty-nine police officers have been killed in the line of duty this past year.  Thank-you, President Obama and Black Lives Matter for having declared open season on cops.  Make no mistake; Obama set back race relations fifty years in America and he did it knowingly. 

Fomenting racial strife is part and parcel of the leftist agenda.  ...

Soros, like the Southern Poverty Law Center, is a blight upon this country; both have done terrible damage and intend to continue their campaign to destroy American as founded.  The people funding Black Lives Matter and Antifa with untold millions of dollars are spreading chaos and mayhem.  Far too many businesses and institutions are falling for their obvious manipulation and laughing all the way to the bank. 

Like SPLC, BLM and Antifa have become extraordinarily wealthy thanks to gullible liberals, frightened politicians and hard-core socialists.  Those who donate to these groups have a great deal of blood on their hands and not just from these recent riots.  Their dark arts were present and provocative in Ferguson and Baltimore.  They pay well for violent agitators.  ...

All those people who participated in the rioting and looting across the nation are criminals.  They are violent; they are thieves; they are vandals.  They were not acting out for George Floyd, they were opportunistic plunderers.  If in Los Angeles (like NYC), for example, the police had not been told to back off, millions in damage to small businesses may have been prevented, but Mayor Garcetti, like DeBlasio, is a far-left, incompetent wimp.  A week ago, he was praising the police who provide his security.  This week he called them “killers.” 

He needs to go.  ...

Americans need to embrace law and order, civil society, and peace.  We will never have peace without law and order.  The notion our police should be defunded is the dumbest rallying cry ever to be proposed by mind-numbed radicals.  Even they on occasion need to call 911 like the rest of us.

George Floyd died after abuse by a possibly psychopathic cop who should have been fired years ago, based on his record.  The Democrat machine that runs Minneapolis kept him on despite numerous indications that he was a danger to others.  Culpability lies with the Minneapolis police and local government.  He was charged in a previous shooting but no one in the Minnesota Attorney General’s office bothered to prosecute him or remove him from his job.  It’s no wonder that he presumed himself free to abuse his power. 

But one barbaric cop does not indict the many thousands of cops who keep us safe in every city and town throughout the nation.  That he was white and killed a black man does not indict all white people, but that is exactly what BLM wants us all to think.  It’s a big lie, a very big lie, one the media is thoroughly invested in promoting...

The media is a horribly destructive force in America, and they embrace that role with relish.  ..."

Black Lives Matter: Nothing but domestic terrorists

...This violent, far-left group has been allowed to exist without questioning their acts is because it's a sop to black people from guilt-ridden liberals.  The lying and corrupt news media will pounce on anyone who criticizes BLM because it's an easy way for them to link criticism of a black organization with racism.  BLM is a domestic terrorist group and should be labeled as such by both the left and the right.  That isn't hyperbole; that's a fact, because those people seek to dismantle our system of justice and institute their own, which is stated this way on their website: "We call for a national defunding of police.  We demand investment in our communities and the resources to ensure Black people not only survive, but thrive."  I have no idea what their demand for some vague "resources" may mean, but it's obvious that welfare, job training, housing assistance, free meals at schools, and free medical care aren't enough.  Also on their site, they say that "we disrupt [yes, that's the word they use] the Western-prescribed nuclear family structure requirement by supporting each other as extended families[.]"  So, communism then?

Last Friday, May 29, our nation was rocked with protests and ensuing riots that were highly organized as they took place almost simultaneously in the cities of Seattle, New York, Boston, Indianapolis, Los Angeles, Chicago, Portland, Flagstaff, Salt Lake City, Des Moines, Reno, Detroit, Memphis, Dallas, Houston, Richmond (Va.), Fargo, Oklahoma City, Louisville, Cleveland, Tulsa, Washington, Nashville, Albany, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Atlanta, Denver, Minneapolis, and others with handmade "Black Lives Matter" signs prominent at each protest or riot I saw on TV.  What this suggests is that they were coordinated and executed by BLM in order to shut down and cause chaos in some of America's busiest and most populated cities. ...

BLM claim to want "justice," which is an outright lie.  The last thing these people want is to let any of their pet causes make their way through the American judicial system.  They want special treatment, but more than that, they want mob rule.  ... They call for the police departments of America to be defunded and dismantled.  How will that further the goal of seeking "justice"?  ...

Make no mistake.  This is anarchy by domestic terrorists, and their goal is to tear down the system and possibly this country in order to achieve their stated goals.  If we want to preserve our country in a way that respects law, order, and the best justice system that civilization has developed, we need to oppose Black Lives Matter.  That begins with identifying them as domestic terrorists.  Their  actions have merited nothing less."

A Black Responds to Democrats' Insane Vow to Disband Police

...Well, I am a black man who has been pulled over by police numerous times in my 70 years.  My first thought was what did I do wrong, not my skin color.  Except for one jerk, every officer was polite and professional.  To the jerk who gave me a ticket, I still say I did come to a complete stop at that stop sign.

Fake news media's campaign to demonize police and Democrats' vow to disband police departments are totally insane.  Can you imagine what gangs such as MS-13 would do to this country without police intervention?  America has over 33,000 gangs with over 1.4 million members.

For decades, Democrats have tried every dirty trick in the book to repeal our Second Amendment right to bear arms.  They claim that you should always call the police rather than defend yourself.  While still insisting that we surrender our guns, Democrats have begun defunding and disbanding police departments.  Antifa has boldly announced that it will begin invading the homes of white Americans.  Without guns or police, what are Americans supposed to use to stop anarchists from robbing, raping, and murdering their families?  Harsh language?

Brother and sister Americans, our greatest enemy is the Democratic Party.

Around 88 years old, my late dad was the pastor of a historic black church in a drug-, crime-, and violence-infested Baltimore neighborhood.  Dad said senior residents complained to him about disrespectful thugs damaging their property and assaulting them.

I feared for Dad.  But once he made up his mind, there was no stopping him.  One evening a week, Dad marched through his church's neighborhood carrying a sign that read, "Stop the Killing!"  Pretty soon, neighbors joined him.  Dad said the one police officer assigned to the neighborhood gave him a high-five of approval.

Why was there only one cop in the neighborhood?  The answer is that Baltimore's Democrat-controlled government believes that arresting black thugs is racist.  Consequently, black residents live in fear and suffer abuse from criminals.  It is all so crazy and frustrating.

People in all seats of authority betray us.  Should we demonize and get rid of all police, clergymen, teachers, doctors, coaches, and so on?

A black college professor buddy said that when he was a high school student, he had a private meeting with his school's black guidance counselor.  The counselor placed his hand on my buddy's thigh, dangling a college scholarship for sexual favors.  My buddy gently rejected his advance.  Should we demonize and remove all guidance counselors?

Folks, ponder this.  One police officer wrongfully killed a black man, which all of America condemned.  The officer is being prosecuted.  And yet, Democrats and fake news media flooded the airwaves with their lie that blacks are being murdered daily by police.  Data confirming that police are the greatest protectors of blacks are ignored.  Cops are far more likely to be killed by a black rather than the other way around. 

Democrats and fake news media absurdly say every white American is responsible for the daily persecution of blacks.

Therefore, Democrat politicians are outrageously physically kneeling in worship to Black Lives Matter, begging forgiveness for being born white.  Antifa thugs are demanding that other whites do the same.  It still blows my mind that public schools, beginning in kindergarten, are allowed to teach white students that they are born racist.  It is no wonder that many Black Lives Matter anarchists are guilt-infected white youths.

...Hang in there, folks.  We must stand together against this evil.  Trust God, and remain firmly seated on the Trump Train.  November is comin'.  Democrats must pay big-time for their horrendous crimes against We the People."

So what's the conclusion of those three articles?  Black Lives Matter is an evil domestic terrorist organization.  Their purpose is to brainwash people into believing that they are a peaceful social justice organization.  When reality is their goal is to increase racial tensions by bullying through domestic terrorism.   How can any sane person think that getting rid of law enforcement is better for society?  That's pure craziness.  What is wrong with everybody?!  Everybody who believes that is brainwashed and madder than hatters.
