Stanford University published a study at the National Institutes of Health on November 22, 2020 entitled "Facemasks in the COVID-19 era: A health hypothesis". Here's the link: Link to published study
It is pretty long and thorough and a fairly easy read. I would suggest taking the time to read it. But if you don't, here is their conclusion:
Conclusion
The existing scientific evidences challenge the safety and efficacy of wearing facemask as preventive intervention for COVID-19. The data suggest that both medical and non-medical facemasks are ineffective to block human-to-human transmission of viral and infectious disease such SARS-CoV-2 and COVID-19, supporting against the usage of facemasks. Wearing facemasks has been demonstrated to have substantial adverse physiological and psychological effects. These include hypoxia, hypercapnia, shortness of breath, increased acidity and toxicity, activation of fear and stress response, rise in stress hormones, immunosuppression, fatigue, headaches, decline in cognitive performance, predisposition for viral and infectious illnesses, chronic stress, anxiety and depression. Long-term consequences of wearing facemask can cause health deterioration, developing and progression of chronic diseases and premature death. Governments, policy makers and health organizations should utilize prosper and scientific evidence-based approach with respect to wearing facemasks, when the latter is considered as preventive intervention for public health.
As I've said all along, facemasks are not only useless, but detrimental for healthy asymptomatic people. Masks are ridiculous enough for healthy people to wear, but wearing them outdoors is absolutely insane. Especially those who are running or exercising. Absolutely preposterous.
Of course the media won't cover this study. They want to keep the people suppressed and in fear.
Facemasks mandates along with all of the other absurd government mandates are only in place to control the people. Yes, we are living under communism in the United States of America. Very sad.
That's my two cents.
It's a sad state of affairs. Never thought I'd see the day when the American people would give up their freedoms so easily. Oh, but the media is telling us this and that. Oh, but Fauci is telling us this and that. Oh, but the CDC is telling us this and that...BLAH!

The facts are silenced. Truth is silenced. Pushing the agenda, telling people they don't care about their fellowmen if they don't wear a stupid mask. It's really quite pathetic how easily people are controlled. Good for Stanford. Glad they are putting the truth out there even if the media won't report it. At least YOU will!!!!!
