President Trump

Today is a beautiful, bright day for America as Donald J. Trump was inaugurated as the 45th President of the United States of America.  I watched the inauguration on television this morning.  It was magnificent!  President Trump gave an amazing inaugural address.  Basically reiterating his campaign promises.  He really came down hard on the Washington establishment and basically all the politicians that were surrounding him.  :-) It was awesome!

He mentioned God several times and it was refreshing to hear God being brought back into our country. Here are a few outstanding excerpts from his address:
THE PRESIDENT: Today’s ceremony, however, has very special meaning. Because today we are not merely transferring power from one administration to another or from one party to another, but we are transferring power from Washington, D.C., and giving it back to you, the people.
CROWD: (cheers and applause)
THE PRESIDENT: For too long a small group in our nation’s capital has reaped the rewards of government while the people have borne the cost.
...
THE PRESIDENT: At the bedrock of our politics will be a total allegiance to the United States of America, and through our loyalty to our country, we will rediscover our loyalty to each other. When you open your heart to patriotism, there is no room for prejudice.
CROWD: (applause)
THE PRESIDENT: The Bible tells us how good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity. We must speak our minds openly, debate our disagreements honestly, but always pursue solidarity. When America is united, America is totally unstoppable.
CROWD: (applause)
THE PRESIDENT: There should be no fear. We are protected, and we will always be protected. We will be protected by the great men and women of our military and law enforcement —
CROWD: (applause)
THE PRESIDENT: — and most importantly, we will be protected by God.
...
THE PRESIDENT: Do not allow anyone to tell you that it cannot be done. No challenge can match the heart and fight and spirit of America. We will not fail. Our country will thrive and prosper again. We stand at the birth of a new millennium, ready to unlock the mysteries of space, to free the earth of the miseries of disease and to harness the energies, industries, and technologies of tomorrow. A new national pride will stir our souls, lift our sights, and heal our divisions. It’s time to remember that old wisdom our soldiers will never forget, that whether we are black or brown or white, we all bleed the same red blood of patriots.
CROWD: (cheers and applause)
THE PRESIDENT: We all enjoy the same glorious freedoms, and we all salute the same great American flag.
CROWD: (cheers and applause)
THE PRESIDENT: And whether a child is born in the urban sprawl of Detroit or the windswept plains of Nebraska, they look up at the same night sky, they fill their heart with the same dreams, and they are infused with the breath of life by the same Almighty Creator.
...
THE PRESIDENT: Your voice, your hopes, and your dreams will define our American destiny. And your courage and goodness and love will forever guide us along the way. Together, we will make America strong again. We will make America wealthy again. We will make America proud again. We will make America safe again — and, yes, together we will make America great again!
CROWD: (wild cheers and applause)
THE PRESIDENT: Thank you. God bless you, and God bless America.
Those are just a few of my favorite excerpts from President Trump's inaugural address this morning.  Isn't it a refreshing change from the doom and gloom we've heard for the last eight years from the Obama administration and leftists?

I loved how President Trump reclaimed our nation and really sent the left liberal establishment packing.  It was beautiful to watch.

Contrast his speech with that of Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY) -- yes part of the liberal establishment. His speech was given right before the swearing-in of Vice President Pence.  Here are a couple quotes:
SCHUMER: We live in a challenging and tumultuous time, a quickly evolving, ever more interconnected world, a rapidly changing economy that benefits too few while leaving too many behind. A fractured media, a politics frequently consumed by rancor.
 ...
SCHUMER: Whatever our race, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity — whether we are immigrant or native born, whether we live with disabilities or do not, in wealth or in poverty — we are all exceptional in our commonly held yet fierce devotion to our country —
Notice how negative and divisive his comments are?  And by the way that last line is a lie.  The left liberals have no devotion to our country.  They hate America.  They are the ones violently protesting because they didn't get their way.  And why does he have to bring up sexual orientation and gender identity?  Instead of focusing on us being Americans the left always focuses on dividing us into groups.  Yet they think we are the hateful, divisive, bigoted group when that's all they ever focus on.

Anyway, it feels good to have a president who loves his country and wants to make it great again! I thought it was quite apropos that the Mormon Tabernacle Choir sang, "America the Beautiful" in between the swearing-in of Vice President Pence and President Trump.  It certainly was a beautiful day for America.

God bless America and God bless President Trump!

That's my two cents.

  1. This is what I'm looking forward to the most--putting God back into our country again!
The last administration spent 8 long years removing God from everything they could. It was refreshing to hear talk of God today. Afterall, this country was founded on principles of faith and trust in God.
I also noticed Trumps comment: When you open your heart to patriotism, there is no room for prejudice.
    That is a truth.
I saw more patriotism and love of country in the few clips I saw of the Welcome Celebration at Lincoln Memorial last night than I did in Obama's full 8 year term. That's not an exaggeration. I saw a President (Trump) who displayed great respect for our military and veterans. I saw a President singing along with "God Bless the USA" and "American the Beautiful" and I saw him stand on his feet in respect.
It sure is nice to see a President and First Lady dressing classic, like a President and First Lady should too.
It did feel very good to see this transition today. Hope has been given to the American people.
